Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born April 28 1997) was an American actress and singer. Wuhrer began her acting career when she was in her teens. Her best-known character was for her role as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders as well as for her role as the character Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. She has three brothers and sisters. When she was young she sang in clubs and went out to sing. Following her studies in acting at the Wooster School at 13 years old, she pursued a degree in drama at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts located at Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. She also studied in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under the famed Uta Hagen. She is a Brookfield resident born in Brookfield Connecticut in the 28th day of April, 1967. Kari was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, on April 28, 1967. Kari is the youngest of three siblings. Kari sang in nightclubs when she was just a teenager. Her habit was to sneak away at night to sing and entertain her friends. Kari was only 13 when she began acting lessons at Wooster School. Kari stepped into acting as an teen, and her first TV appearance was on 1987 on MTV's Remote Control.
