Alison Maria Krauss was born in the month of July 1971. Alison is a bluegrass and country singer. She started working in the world of music from a young age. at the age of 10 she was a winner in local contests, and then recorded her debut album. The year 1985 saw her enrolled with Rounder Records and in 1987 came out with her debut album. The year 1989 saw her asked to be a part of Alison Krauss & Union Station with whom she performs.
